Government officials in India are dedicating most of their time to serve the nation. The salary of Government officials is mainly dependent on their roles and responsibilities in the nation. Highest Paid Government Official in India 

The highest-paid government official in India is the president of India. He/She will receive five lakhs as basic pay. Further, they will receive other allowances, which were fixed by the president of India. Usually, the president of India is elected by members of both the house of parliament, members of the state legislative assembly, and union territories. The second-highest-paid government official in India is the Vice President of India. He/She will receive four lakhs as basic pay with some allowances fixed by the government of India. The vice president of India was also elected by the members of both the house of parliament and members from state and union territories legislatures assembly. The time span of both the President and Vice president of India is 5 years. The person who is a member of the Rajya Sabha can only take part in the election.

The payment for a month will range from 144,200 to Rs. 218,200. They also receive other allowances based on the allotment of the state government.

The term period of the chief minister is 5 years. The chief minister of state will receive the basic pay as mentioned in the below table, salaries along with the pay of MLA.
